I was saddened to hear that Dennis Hof, proprietor of Nevada's infamous Bunny Ranch brothel, died yesterday, and that sadness was only somewhat alleviated by the fact that he was found by Ron Jeremy.
Yesterday afternoon, both of their names were trending on Twitter. I was afraid to click on either of them, for fear that they'd both died from some toxic combination of boner pills and cocaine. Lest we forget, it was at the Bunny Ranch where Lamar Odom almost died.
Hof died in his sleep at some point on Monday, after a long weekend spent celebrating his birthday and his impending election to the Nevada State Senate. Who knows how much good he could have done in politics, what with Trump in the White House and Brett Kavanaugh on the Supreme Court.
I found a flier for the party on Twitter. It sounds like it was one hell of a soiree. In addition to the aforementioned Ron Jeremy, Flavor Flav and Sheriff Joe Arpaio were in attendance. Afroman performed, and it sounds like Hof's hoo-ers may have provided services. Party favors, if you will.
If only I could have been there, both to partake in the festivities and to chronicle the affair for a political tome to rival Hunter S. Thompson's Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail '72—or at least the forthcoming Stormy Daniels book.
