By Thursday, Brett Kavanaugh's confirmation seemed like a fait accompli, but that didn't stop Amy Schumer from joining a smattering of angry feminists in a protest outside a Senate building.
At the very least, she may have figured, she might be able to get on CNN, which will help keep her name hot in the streets between projects, like a circa '03 rap mixtape.
She was arrested alongside Emily Ratajkowski (essentially the anti-Amy Schumer, in terms of looks), with whom she recently appeared in a movie called I Feel Pretty, and the whole thing may have been promo for a forthcoming DVD release.
A journalist on the scene observed police asking Schumer and Ratajkowski if they'd like to be arrested, then giving them special wristbands and politely escorting them to a special area for people who had been "arrested."
A photo of Amy Schumer giving the black power salute—which I'm pretty sure constitutes cultural appropriation—seems staged, and calls to mind the famous photo of DeRay being arrested in Baton Rouge, LA, in a Twitter t-shirt.
(Note that the photo took place after she was arrested. You can see the pink band on her wrist.)
A photo of Ratajkowski hoisting a placard, meanwhile, is hot enough that you could probably fap to it. I don't know if it's angled just right, or if every photo of her seems like it's angled just right.
