Asia Argento got a lotta nerve trying to accuse Harvey Weinstein of being sexually inappropriate, knowing good and well she was out here using cougar techniques on her teenage costars.
To paraphrase Larry the Cable Guy, I don't care how hot she is, that's rank hypocrisy!
In an article in the Times the other day that may or may not have been planted by Mossad (the paper received an anonymous tip via encrypted email), it was revealed that Argento paid $380,000 to a kid she had sex with when he was 17 years old. (The age of consent in California is a whopping 18 years old. This despite the fact that it's adjacent to Mexico, where the age of consent is 12.) She'd directed the kid in a movie when he was a young child and probably groomed him to be her personal fuck-toy—a process known as "putting your bid in."
The kid hasn't had an acting job since he was like 18, and he claims his mind is all messed up from having been abused by Argento. He sued her for $6 million, and they ended up settling for $380,000, to be paid in installments. She was in the process of settling the case while she was out here accusing Harvey Weinstein of all manner of wrongdoing. The late, great Anthony Bourdain, whom she killed, supposedly assisted in the process.
Argento's allegations against Weinstein always struck me as fishy. She was the only one alleging anything (physically) forceful, which allowed some of our more disingenuous commentators to declare that he'd committed "actual rape," which in this case meant holding her down while he went down on her. After that, she continued dating him on and off for another 10 years. I'm not sure which is more nonsensical, the idea that forcible oral can be construed as an assault, or the idea that she would date her alleged rapist for 10 years.
The only thing we can be sure of—because there's photos—is that she sexually assaulted a teenage boy.
