I'm not actually defending Russell Simmons. I would never claim to know what happened in an incident I didn't personally witness. Even if the guy's got like 14 accusations, there's just no way of knowing for certain.
Unless there's video. (There's not video, is there? LOL)
But if the Bill Cosby trial taught us one thing, it's that courts are now counting accusations that you've committed numerous other crimes in a similar vein as evidence that you committed the crime you're on trial for, even if no other meaningful evidence (e.g. the Cos' DNA on the girl's feet) exists. Accusations, mind you. Not convictions.
Basically, they're handing out life sentences based on hearsay. Rush better watch out!
Word on the street, i.e. the comments section at Instagram, is that Rush is on an extended yoga retreat in a country that doesn't have an extradition treaty with the United States, like maybe he knew these accusations were coming out and decided to get TF out of dodge just in case.
His latest alleged victim, the granddaughter of publisher W.W. Norton, who was an actual guy, says she's not after Rush's money. She might be eating off those Harry Potter books. She says she went to the police a year ago, but the case was beyond the statute of limitations. Supposedly, the NYPD is investigating Rush for a number of other sex crimes. Recently, they arrested Harvey Weinstein, who supposedly might get football numbers.
