The real problem with Kanye West going MAGA is that Kim Kardashian got the opportunity to visit the White House to discuss prison reform, and she chose to discuss some woman who's locked up for a first-time drug offense?
Who gives a fuck if a woman is locked up for a first-time drug offense? Let her sit down for a while. That'll give her time to reflect on why she's out here selling drugs when she could be, I don't know, having sex with guys for money?
As discussed in an ancient blog post for XXL, female rappers, like Lil Kim and Remy Ma, shouldn't get credit for having gone to prison, because female prisons aren't nearly as dangerous as male prisons. I saw a documentary on them on HBO back in the '90s. Female prisoners are nicer and better behaved than some of the girls I've worked with over the years.
I know Kim Kardashian has also agitated, via Instagram, for the release of Cyntoia Brown, or whatever her name was, the teen prostitute who murdered one of her johns and robbed him while he was taking a post-coital nap. I don't think she was discussed at the White House yesterday, but that could be because she already won a retrial and might be out soon.
Admittedly, I'd take my chances with a 30-year-old Cyntoia Brown.
I'm assuming, because Kanye has no sense, that he didn't tell Kim to tell Donald Trump to pardon Mumia Abu-Jamal, someone who really deserves to be freed from prison, both because he's innocent (natch), and because he's been locked up for pretty much my entire lifetime, and I'm borderline AARP status. Killing a cop shouldn't be a 30-plus year sentence anyway!
