I was disappointed to see, in an evening news report yesterday on Joe Jackson, that he was described as the father of Michael and Janet Jackson, who'd been accused of being physically abusive. I wondered, what did Poppa Joe's alleged disciplinary techniques have to do with the proverbial price of tea in China?
If only Joe had been alive to put a shoe on the lady who read that report.
You never see the TV news trying to make white fathers look bad when they die. Take for example the recently deceased Charles Krauthammer, who somehow managed to father a child despite the fact that he'd been in a wheelchair since he was in college. His tedious op-eds led to the deaths of a million Iraqis. Arguably, he shouldn't even have received an obit.
All Joe Jackson did was provide his children with the guidance they needed to become great entertainers. And it seems to have worked! At least in the case of Michael and, to a lesser degree, Janet. If only XXXTentacion had a Joe Jackson to break a foot off in his ass, he might still be alive today.
