This past Friday afternoon, just as I was making my plans for the weekend, the FBI somehow seized Backpage.com. How inconsiderate of them.
They did something similar to a bunch of long since forgotten rap-mp3 blogs back in, I don't know, the late '00s? Eventually, they got their blogs back, but it was years later, at a point when only losers were still blogging.
Hopefully something similar happens with Backpage. Regardless of how long it takes, I doubt people will lose interest in purchasing hoo-ers via the Internets.
It beats the alternative, which is driving through areas where hoo-ers walk a stroll and trying to pick one of them up in your car. I drive past a stroll or two on the way to work, and trust me, those hoo-ers don't look like Jodie Foster in the movie Taxi Driver. Otherwise, I'd be pulling half-days on the reg.
Supposedly, Backpage is safer for the hoo-ers, because when you cop a hoo-er from Backpage you have to pay the guy who drives her to your house (I'm assuming), who waits for her to be done "working," lest you feed her to a woodchipper like in the movie Fargo.
Before Backpage, the pimp would only drive by on occasion. The hoo-er would be left to her own devices. If you wanted to, you could take her into an alley and have your way with her, and she wouldn't have much, if anything, in the way of recourse.
