Black man beaten, tasered, arrested for walking on wrong side of the street
You probably didn't even there was a such thing as the wrong side of the street to walk down.
If there's a sidewalk, I'm at a loss for what difference it makes. If you're only supposed to walk down one side of the street, why would they even bother putting a sidewalk on both sides of the street? Duh!
If you're jogging or riding a bicycle. there are certain rules. People who ride their bicycles all out in the street as if they're cars are supposed to ride in the same direction as cars, though they don't have to abide by any of the other rules of the road, nor will they.
I'm not sure if it's the law or a rule or anything, but if you're out jogging, you should jog in the opposite direction of cars. Living in a lower middle class area the past few years, I notice no one abides by this, not even by accident.
You don't see too many people out jogging for recreation or anything, but you get a lot of people out hoofing it to the bus stop or whatever, and these people don't seem to have the sense to avoid putting themselves in situations where they're likely to get run over. The worst is when you see people out jaywalking with strollers. You just know that kid's destined for a life of crime.
As far as this situation is concerned, it looks like a clear cut case of Walking While Black. I guess, at least they didn't shoot him.
