New Lil Wayne video rips off Anthony Cruz
h/t some young guy in the comments section
This is Weezer and Saves the Day all over again, for my grown and sexy (read aging) readers.
Above is Lil Wayne's video for "No Worries," which apparently hit the Internets on Thanksgiving. Below is Anthony Cruz's video for "Fear and Loathing in New York," which hit the the Internets just about a month ago and had all of about 2,000 views when I posted it here this morning. #progress
According to some obscure Hot Topic-wave blog, MTV only started playing the Anthony Cruz video the day before the Lil Wayne video premiered last week.
Must be awkward, to say the least, if you're Anthony Cruz. I mean, apparently you don't have the $$$ to pay one of these spam email services to send out a link to your video, or have it posted on blogs that charge artists money to post their videos, 288 people follow you on Twitter, and you spent a significant amount of money (for you anyway) making a video, just to have Lil Wayne rip it off a day after they started playing it on TV - on Thanksgiving, no less. Would MTV play two videos that are more or less the same, and if not, which one would they drop?
