Killer Mike "Don't Die"

via pitchfork.com

This was recorded last year, but it seems to predict things like Trayvon Martin and last week's discussion about how more people walking around with guns will only lead to more people getting shot (via "basic logic"). This is like when Ice Cube used to rap about how the LAPD harasses black people, then there was the Rodney King video, then there was the LA Riots. Which is ironic because Ice Cube famously went to New York to work with the Bomb Squad on Amerikkka's Most Wanted, and this Killer Mike and El-P album has been compared to Amerikkka's Most Wanted.
