Don't ever let anyone tell you you're not important enough to perform at Summer Jam
via soundcloud.com
In an age when Lloyd Banks has been declared (by some cracka-ass cracka at the New York Times, who gets to randomly declare shit) the most important rapper in New York, no less.
Fuck that shit!
Throw your own Summer Jam, aboard a float at the Israel Day Parade, which apparently actually is a parade, that takes place in New York the weekend prior to the infamous Puerto Rican day parade. You just haven't heard about it, because, perhaps understandably, there aren't as many rape-rapes.
That's what I like about Kosha Dillz. (No Tony Kushner.) There's basically never a scenario in which you see Kosha Dillz perform live and it's an actual Kosha Dillz show. There probably couldn't be one. He just shows up to other people's concerts, jumps onstage and starts rappin'.
One time he was opening for some white reggae band from Iowa (no, really), and I didn't get there in time, because I was working like a Hebrew slave at the BGM. No problem! He just hopped onstage and started rapping along with said white reggae band from Iowa.
In the brief press release accompanying this new single, it's suggested that he might pull a similar stunt at this weekend's Puerto Rican Day Parade. "Span-Hebrish (Ech Ani Olech)" contains lyrics in Spanish, Hebrew and English. See if you can tell which is which.
