As Kanye West would say, the Nobel Prize just lost its credibility

Barack Obama has only been president for nine months. He hasn't ended the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. He refuses to get tough with Israel, even though they stay calling him a dreaded n-word. And yet, the Nobel committee saw fit to award him the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize.

This was such a sham, Democracy Now! had to call Naomi Klein at home to have her go in. They were also trying to get Jeremy Scahill, but he probably sleeps late. I just barely caught it on Link TV myself, and I went to bed at like 11 last night. (Perhaps if I had a reason to get up in the morning.) Instead, they got this guy Tariq Ali, who explained that the Nobel committee almost once gave the award to Adolf Hitler.
