Until the casket drops

Road to Til the Casket Drops

I've heard this, just now, and it's nails. Way better than Hell Hath No Fury, and the third We Got It 4 Cheap. I never did hear that Re-Up Gang album they put out on Koch, but I don't seem to recall anyone having very many positive things to say about it.

It was released today by Complex magazine's website, which is run by my old colleague Brendan Frederick. Back when he was at XXL, he was the guy Elliott Wilson would have call me and explain to me why my writing had to be censored. Unbeknownst to him, he had a lot of conversations with me while I was in the bathroom at the BGM. Nullus. One time I accidentally pissed down the leg of my pants while trying to talk to him while taking a piss. I was able to dry them pretty quickly using one of those hand air dryers, but they started to stink after a while, I guess when they got hot because I was walking around too much.

Man tip: If you find yourself having to dry your pants in the bathroom at work, go ahead and wash the piss out of them first. I was probably fortunate in that there's a few other people at the BGM with personal hygiene issues, especially once it gets closer to the end of the month. If I worked in a classier retail establishment, I might have been shit out of luck. Just because I called Marley Marl a crackhead or some shit. Meanwhile, that shit's true. I read it, in the one issue of Scratch magazine I ever read.

But I digress.

Speaking of Scratch magazine, did you know that Brendan Frederick a) was the guy responsible for Hell Hath No Fury receiving an XXL rating in, erm, XXL magazine, making it only the sixth such album to do so; b) once did an especially vapid feature on the Clipse for Complex magazine, years before he actually worked there; and c) was probably involved in getting the Clipse on the cover of the late, great Mass Appeal magazine, which later became fodder for the hilarious (and probably long since forgotten, for most people) beef between Elliott Wilson and Hashim Warren?

I'm not suggesting shenanigans or anything. I'm just saying. All rappers should have such a dedicated booster in the media.
