Pointing out the sources of samples in famous rap records wasn't interesting in the least bit even 20 years ago, when your mom pointed out that Ice Cube's "It Was a Good Day" is a sad and egregious rip-off of an old Isley Brothers record, let alone once dudes started doing it on the Internets.
Isn't that the reason there is such a thing as hip-hop in the first place - because the vast majority of all regular R&B music is boring and gay?
That being said, I enjoyed this YouTube video of some douche in his mom's basement pointing out the sources of samples for 10 classic rap records. He reminds me of every third guy I went to high school with, right down to the utter fascination with Warren G's "Regulate," and the Beastie Boys' "Brass Monkey."
Check the video for yourself after the jump. And if you like that, I see there's at least 12 other ones on YouTube, and they all seem to run about 10 minutes long. You could pretty much block out an entire afternoon watching this mess.
