My rap gaydar is on point (nullus)
See, I told you guys the Native Tongues was a fag band.
It first became clear to me a few weeks ago, when I saw that video of Pharrell talking about how Busta Rhymes flipped on him, because he didn't want to mention the Jungle Brothers in some record they were working on, because the one guy from the Jungle Brothers is a fudge now. Then, the same week, I heard that Tribe song "Georgie Porgie," which was gonna be on The Low End Theory, and which could very well be the most homophobic rap song evar, almost as if they were trying to throw off the scent.
Busta Rhymes and Q-Tip have been very close for years now. They must have collaborated on 10 or 15 songs, going all the back to the days of "Scenario." Sometimes, Busta Rhymes would just pop up on Tribe records where he wasn't even rapping, as if he may have just been hanging around the studio waiting for Tribe to get done recording, so him and Q-Tip could spend some time with one another. On one song on The Low End Theory, Q-Tip actually mentions having had a dream about Busta Rhymes.
In the video below, Busta Rhymes actually plants a big kiss on Q-Tip's forehead while they're on stage performing. First Q-Tip talks about how they've known each other for 20 years now, and how they first met at a place down on the Lower East Side called Hotel Amazon. Word? Then Busta Rhymes grabs Q-Tip by the head and starts kissing him. Q-Tip actually has to fight his way out of it and yell pause, but Busta Rhymes is like, "You ain't gotta pause that! Niggas know they gettin' punched in they motherfucking face tonight!"
