The homeless should be forced to sleep in camps

The other day, I was walking down the street outside the Scottrade Center, in downtown St. Louis, on my way to see Bruce Springsteen, when I had the unique misfortune of walking past an area where homeless people sleep.
No, I didn't accidentally see two homeless guys fucking. (God forbid.) There weren't even any homeless guys there. But you could tell it was an area where homeless people sleep, because there were little piles of garbage, and bottles of strange liquids. And the smell. Jesus H. Tapdancing Christ. I don't even know how to describe it. It was just awful.
You know it had to be bad for it to linger like that while they weren't even there. Like, how bad do you have to smell to fuck up a sidewalk? I can only imagine. I'm sure part of it had to do with the fact that this area was this little corridor that, while it was outside, it was still air conditioned. Why, I have no idea. Probably one of those bullshit union laws they have at these venues.
Last week's poll had to do with whether or not homeless people should be forced to sleep in camps. Check the results.

I was surprised at how close the results turned out to be, given how reasonable forcing homeless people to sleep in camps seems to me. People must have been turned off by the term "camps," which does have a certain holocaust connotation.
All I was suggesting is that there be a central location where homeless people can sleep. Rather than the situation right now, where they sleep all over the place, where us normal people can stumble upon them fucking one another in the ass, or taking a shit in a pickle jar or whatever.
That seems pretty reasonable to me. The camps, I mean. I wonder why anyone would object.
Next weeks poll, which I just copied and pasted into existence, deals with an issue that I'm sure has been on a lot of our minds lately. As they say in Chicago, vote early and vote often.
