Did Kim Osorio blow 50 Cent?

Straight from the Source

A year or so ago (shit, maybe it was two years ago), Kim Osorio was awarded something ridonkulous like $15 million in a sexual harassment suit against her former employer, the Source magazine.

You know what that means, right? Finally, someone with the know-how and the financial means to build an institution in hip-hop journalism that's actually worth a shit. Time for another one of these damn Superhead books.

The thing is, I think this is gonna be one of those cases, like the OJ civil trial, where she doesn't actually get hardly any of the money she was awarded in the settlement. Benzino probably spent that money on coke and hoo-ers a long time ago.

And if you recall, the Source's financial situation had been fucked the fuck up since back during the height of the dot com era, when they took out a ridonkulous, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition-style loan to have some n-bomb install message board software on their website.

Hence, I think the last I read, Kim Osorio was blogging for one of these lesser prominent hip-hop sites. Which, I can tell you, is so not where it's at. There's all sorts of things you'd rather be doing.

This book could work out well for her, though, for a few reasons.

First of all, unlike the real Superhead, Kim Osorio actually has a background in writing, rather than just blowing people. She used to be the editor in chief of the Source, and they don't just let anyone work at these hip-hop magazines.

However, I'm assuming she's also got some instances of knob-shining in her background. Otherwise, why would a major publisher give her any money to write a book? Because they thought she had an interesting life story? Pshaw!

Think about it: When's the last time a woman in hip-hop got a deal to write a book that didn't have to do with some guy she had sex with who was actually famous? (I'll admit I'm just jealous because I can't get the same deal. Except with girls, obviously.)

And lest we forget, Dave Mays and Ray Benzino weren't actually found guilty of sexual harassment in her suit against them. They were only found guilty of firing her in retaliation for filing a complaint. Which would suggest to me that a lot of that shit Benzino was saying about her in interviews might have had some truth to it.

Below, I've got a link to an excerpt from the book on website of the book's publisher. Unfortunately, it isn't a scene where she goes down on 50 Cent. But I'm assuming it's hardly a coincidence that it's a scene where someone asks her about blowing 50 Cent. They don't want to give away all of the dirt before the book is even released, but they definitely want to put the thought in people's minds.
