The Kennedys peaked in the early 1960s

With Ted Kennedy undergoing surgery to remove a malignant brain tumor, the Kennedy political dynasty has been in the news as much as since the last time one of them suffered some sort of tragic industry - possibly since John John flew his plane into the Atlantic Ocean back in 1999.
The retarded sister died a couple of years ago, but I don't know if a lot of people were aware there was a retarded sister. Supposedly, this wasn't common knowledge back in the day. Or actually, I think a lot of people knew there was a retarded sister, but I don't think they were aware that - as I read in Wikipedia the other day - she wasn't actually retarded, she just had an attitude problem.
So last week's poll had to do with which is the best Kennedy. Here are the results.

And wouldn't you know, this turned into a bit of a horse race between JFK and his retarded sister. I'm assuming a lot of people voted for JFK because he was the one who was actually elected president, and he has an Oliver Stone film named after him (just like George W. Bush), and he was arguably the best that family produced. But then a lot of people voted for the retarded sister just because they thought it would be hilarious if she actually won.
While I agree it would have been hilarious if she'd actually won, my vote was for Teddy. My reasoning? He actually drove a broad into a lake and didn't get kicked out of the Senate. In some ways, that's more impressive to me than being elected president. We all know there were some shenanigans involved in getting JFK elected. If anything, both the situation with the retarded sister and Chappaquiddick go to show there's a lot of shit you just plain can't get away with anymore.
