Obama is more electable than Hillary
According to Last Week's Poll
When I created this poll the other day, it hadn't occurred to me that Barack Obama was about to have the Democratic nomination all but tied up after Indiana and North Carolina, this past Tuesday.
Hillary had been on somewhat of a winning streak in the past few weeks, and Obama was having to deal with that shit with Jeremiah Wright. So I figured Hillary might be able to take those few factors and ride them into the convention where she would try to make the case that she's more electable than he is.
I guess it goes to show what I know about politics.
For what it's worth though, I don't know that the fact that Hillary almost certainly can't win anymore definitely means Obama is more electable than she is. In fact, since Tim Russert and everyone else basically told her to step off the other day, she's been touting her own electability more than ever.
Her reasoning is that she's been doing way better than he has with the cracka-ass cracka vote - and as racist as it sounds, she might have a point. The primaries was one thing, but will a majority of this country's voters actually pull the level for a black dude (ayo!) come this November? I guess we'll see.
Last week's poll had to do with the candidates' relative electability, in light of the Jeremiah Wright incident. Here are the results.
In light of Rev Wright, who's more electable?
- Barack Obama (196 votes - 81%)
- Hillary Clinton (46 votes - 19%)
As it turns out, and as I think we saw in last week's primaries, the Jeremiah Wright incident didn't do a whole lot of damage to Barack Obama.
However, if I wonder if people were really considering his overall electability, or just relative to Hillary Clinton, in these past couple of primaries. If I would've been thinking, I would've included John McCain in this poll as well. Oh well. I guess we've got all summer and fall to see how that works out.

Next week's poll, which is already up, has to do with actual rap music. I did a similar one a couple of months ago, but there's been a whole lot of new shit to hit the Internets since then, especially if you're willing to listen to shit that's relatively obscure. (What's your alternative these days?)
This one's gonna be a little bit different than the last one though, in that you can pick up to three albums, rather than just having to pick your one favorite. I believe this is how elections are done in Canada. It's too bad we couldn't go to a system like that in our presidential elections here in the US.
