Justin Timberlake is black people's favorite cracka-ass cracka

Justin Timberlake

According to Last Week's Poll
Black people, by and large, don't really dig on white music, but there's always been certain white acts that black people seem to love for whatever reason - whether it's because they were able to mimic black musicians to such an extent that you could actually believe they were black, or because they specialized in the kind of milquetoast, inoffensive bullshit favored by people who clearly suffer from some sort of PTSD.

Last week's poll sought to determine which is black people's favorite white act. Here are the results.

Black people's favorite white group?

  1. Justin Timberlake (101 votes)
  2. Robin Thicke (58 votes)
  3. John Mayer (38 votes)
  4. Coldplay (29 votes)
  5. Michael McDonald (28 votes)
  6. Spandau Ballet (12 votes)
  7. Dave Matthews Band (10 votes)
  8. George Michael (5 votes)

Surprises in these results, at least as far as I'm concerned:

-I thought the knock against Justin Timberlake, as put forth by some jigs who were upset that he was nominated for an NAACP Image Award (seriously, wtf?) was that no one actually likes Justin Timberlake; He's just on the radio constantly. Clearly somebody does though, right?

-I thought black people had more love for Coldplay than that. After all, Chris Martin (and I don't mean Primo) has been on both a Kanye West album and a Jay-Z album. Not even Justin Timberlake himself can claim as much. Er, at least not yet. I guess, for what it's worth, you don't actually hear Coldplay joints on the "black" radio station ad nauseum, like you do Justin Timberlake and Robin Thicke.

-Speaking of which, lest we forget, there was a time when they used to play George Michael records on black radio more than probably any other crack-ass cracka evar. Is it a sign of my own aging that I expected him to do way better in this poll than he did? Also, is this what Justin Timberlake and Robin Thicke have to expect for their careers in the long run, at least in the black community? Hmm...

***

The results of this week's poll, which I just put up a few minutes ago, should be especially interesting. Hopefully, plenty of people vote in it. Nullus. I couldn't get it up yesterday [II], because I was too busy taking a moment of silence to mark the 60th anniversary of the end of the holocaust.

Never again...

Also, speaking of cracka-ass crackas, after the jump is the new Kanye West video, with the fellow from Coldplay. I notice in the first verse (I really should listen to Graduation, if only for research purposes), Kanye mentions how he's gang affiliated. I'd like to hear all of those people who complained that my post about the soft white underbelly of Chicago hip-hop was bullshit try to explain that.

the whole point of this song is that kanye is personifying chicago into a women.
at times during this song kanye raps what this women would have said if she existed. The line you are refurring to is one of these times. Kanye denotes when he is speaking as this women by rapping "she said" - if we further examine that line kanye raps-
She (chicago) said "it felt like they walked and drove on me (chicago)
Knew I (chicago) was gang affiliated, got on TV and told on me (chicago) "
I (kanye) guess that's why last winter she (chicago) got so cold on me (kanye) .
she (chicago) said "'ye, keep makin that keep makin that platinum and gold for me(chicago)!"

thank you and your welcome

FIRST

az for kanye saying he's gang affiliated, the song's a story and I think he's just talking about the main character

smog, you fucking pothead.

Even in your own analysis, you've got Chicago as both the girl (i.e. the city?) and Kanye himself.

Which one is it?

Robin Thicke is just a tool, like the movies "Something new" or "Guess Who" and "Rent" to increase profits for whites in Black Entertainment you notice that no one really really likes Robin Thicke the labels are paying for his constant radio play its brainwashing people DONT fall for it the man cant oppress the people directly anymore so he decides to kill the culture..what is a person without their family values, social status, and the love for their culture...an emotionally oppressed person...

both, whatever its not even worth me trying to explain it again, my brain no longer works, go ask andrew over at fsd

dude is that shit over at 2dopeboyz an april fools joke or what? i cant peep it cuase i at work

It's obviously an april fool's joke, but I'm gonna dl and have a look anyway, just in case it really is pr0n.

It's not pr0n, it's just a blank screen with the instrumental to "Show Me What You Got."

lol thank

Are Chris Martin and Chris Martin related?

why wasn't amy winehouse on this poll???

The pothead is right. Kanye quotes the 'girl' in those first two lines. Hell, the pothead even put all the """"s at the right spot.

What, you really thought the song was about a girl named Wendy that likes to blow trees and never messes with entertainers 'cause they always leave?

homecoming aka home is real old,
he's talking about chicago not himself
step ya hate game up, sheesh!

Where the fuck is Phil Collins?

Those voting are obviously kids and/or white.

Most black people don't like Timberlake. He's for the BET/MTV crowd that has never listened to good R & B.

Teena Marie is the correct answer. As for those on the list, Michael McDonald is the best choice. And then George Michael. But black people like Hall and Oates more than they like George Michael.

Kids today don't even know who Teena Marie is and would think of Hall and Oates and Phil Collins as dinosaurs. George Michael will always be popular due to 'I Want Your Sex' and I can tell you that JT is coming through the speakers at the beauty parlor. So I don't think the poll was that far off.

I been meaning to ask(pretty much since after I voted on this topic), was the poll meant for black people only, or for white people, for example, to vote on who they thought black people liked the most?

I don't have a problem with it, I just thought that if black people only were to vote, the results might have come out differently i.e. Justin Timberlake not winning lol. I thought he would, and he has been working with Timbaland and the Neptunes, and 'My Love' was a big hit. But I would have rather Robin Thicke won, only because he's more credible, He's got a black wife lol

As a white man I can honestly say I voted for JT because, well most white people I know don't like him, so I just assumed by default that's where his current fan base was at. Smh, guess it's Hispanics.

As for this week's poll, well all I can say is that there is a price to pay for dignity, and it's worth more than a million.

I was watching Deal or No Deal the other day (nullus) and this old lady was down to like the milli and two other cases, and she turns to her big ass family with all them grandkids and says something like "you guys could be set for the rest of your lives."

I'm surprised the grandkids didn't burst out laughing right then. "Yeah, one mil grandma, we'll all never have to work again. Shit, after taxes that will get SOME OF US through college."

The moral of the story is, 1 mil ain't what it used to be. $100 million maybe I'm taking it.

Amy Winehouse or Teena Marie

bol is sexist, that's why he left females off the list

why wasn't Jon B included on the list? his duet with 'Pac...crazy!

bol you are slippin

No Hall & Oates? Bl-ass-fem-ous!!!

all of you are totally wrong!!!
I'm black and I love Justin Timberlake!!!
I'm 16 and I do know who Tenna Marie is!!
my mother's from the south so she's a old school r&b baby.. i'm from cali but I love old school r&b its the best ALL r&b is good whether white, black , hispanic... doesn't matter... and for the person that stated that it was "hispanics" that voted?
you're wrong MOST hispanics don't like justin timberlake... they like reggaeton and hip-hop....
white people adore Justin.. i mean who wouldn't he's talented and sexy...
as for blacks I'm not speaking for everyone because every one has their own opinion.. but MOST blacks I know listen to rap, hip-hop, and r&b
I DON'T LIMIT MYSELF!!!!
I LIKE EVERY GENRES!!!!
SO FUCK WHOEVER HAS A PROBLEM WITH IT... =d
