Dead People Beef: Pimp C vs. J Dilla

My esteemed colleague, Noz, in part of his never-ending quest to become roughly the equivalent of one of those people from foreign countries who's still really into Michael Jackson, recently subscribed to the gangsta rap magazine Murder Dog.

In a post on his site the other day called "Four Murder Dog Facts," he lists - you guessed it - four fun facts gleaned from reading the most recent issue.

Of course, the one that stuck out to me the most was the one having to do with my good friends in UGK. Namely, the fact that Pimp C couldn't stand Slum Village.

As Bun B recalls:

"Every now and then I would get in his car and put in Slum Village and he would say 'Get that shit out of my damn car!'"

Lollerskates.

Honestly though, I'm not even sure which is the prized revelation here - the fact that Pimp C didn't like Slum Village... which would seem rather obvious (Slum Village had some joints); or the fact that Bun B listens to Slum Village in his car.

You know who else used to listen to Slum Village in his car? Yours truly.
