Bun B should buy some stock in bullshit

Economic stimulus

According to Last Week's Poll
A few weeks ago, pretty much everyone here in the US, unless you're homeless or something, received a letter informing us that we'd be receiving a $600 check from the government, in order to help juice the economic, so that it doesn't appear as if we're in a recession. Last week's poll had to do with how people plan on spending their checks. Here are the results.

How are you gonna spend your $600 economic stimulus?

  1. I'm gonna blow it on some ol' BS (113 votes)
  2. I'm gonna blow it on things I need (73 votes)
  3. I'm gonna save it (48 votes)

If I would've been thinking, I would've included an option for "I'm gonna try to flip it," since I imagine many of the more resourceful among us are gonna spend all their $600 on weed and try to sell it for a profit. But I guess that's covered under the "I'm gonna blow it on things I need" option. It just goes to show how utterly un-business-minded I am.

Personally, I of course had to vote for "I'm gonna blow it on some ol' BS," even though I'd probably be better off saving mine or, god forbid, trying to invest it in something that will actually increase in value. (Bun B, for example, is probably gonna wait until right before Christmas and buy a shiteload of stock in Wal-Mart). I'm even thinking about doing a feature, like those ones in SPIN magazine (my bad) breaking down exactly how I spend my $600 dollars.

A few ideas I have:

Some new Stephon Marbury shoes (my original got kinda fucked up at Rock the Bells) - $20

Endless Shrimp at Red Lobster, which will almost certainly be back in time for stimulus check weekend - $20

A 30 of Bud Light longnecks - $20

Super Smash Brothers Brawl for the Nintendo Wii - $50

Replacements for my two favorite pair of pants - $80

A trip over to the East Side, to get some glitter on my face - $100

A good hardcover book - $20

Havoc on DVD - $20

Concert tickets for something or other - $30

And that's about all I could come up with. You can probably tell I've hardly spent money on anything other than food and alcohol since the last time I got a new pair of pants. Feel free to list any ideas you might have in the comments section. If your idea is good enough, it might make it into my feature.
