Artie Lange flips out, quits the Howard Stern Show
Being morbidly obese, addicted to heroin, and extorted by the teh ghey mafia must have finally caught up with Artie Lange. Earlier today, he flipped out, threatened to kill his personal assistant, a kid named Teddy, and announced that he's quitting the Howard Stern Show.
Apparently, Artie and Teddy were supposed to be leaving for Amsterdam later on today (there is no Howard Stern Show on Friday), but Teddy forgot to make a copy of Artie's passport Also, Artie was pissed because Teddy is always hitting him up for money, in addition to his salary as Artie's personal assistant. As Teddy explains it though, the job entails more than just being Artie's personal assistant, and hence he feels entitled to the extra money.
It sounds like Teddy might have just caught Artie at a bad time. Artie, who makes ridonkulous sums from doing stand-up gigs (because he's on the Stern Show), is known for being fairly generous with his money. Earlier this year, he let his bookie take him for $60,000. Artie accuses Howard of escalating the incident by poking and prodding with regard to the money issue.

so glad you posted this, I missed it live and only heard about it on the wrapup show...I knew it must have been really crazy since they were replaying todays show......man thats crazy and sucks because I like artie but I think its over after that outburst.....self destruction 101

Sounds like this dude was a leech cause artie was being too generous with him. lesson is never be generous to anyone ever or they will start expecting it and acting like you owe them something.

is howard stern still alive and on the air? no one knows about him anymore except the few who subscribe to sat radio, which is like what, 50 people in the whole country?
what a losing prop that whole deal was, making stern a gazillion aire before it was even launched thinking they would get tons of listeners----NOT. And now they have to merge both companies to save sat radio at all. And I care about this fat slob loser who left the show on his own? Good grief, no one has time for this garbage when the net is here.
