Hey, everyone, look at 90 Day Jane

She's gonna kill herself!

Or is she?

Earlier today, a reader alerted me to a blog called 90 Day Jane. It's by an anonymous girl who's planning on killing herself in 90 Days.

As 90 Day Jane herself describes her little... uggh, project:

I am going to kill myself in 90 days. What else should i say? This blog is not a cry for help or even to get attention. It's simply a public record of my last 90 days in existence. I'm not depressed and nothing extremely horrible has lead me to this decision. But, does it really have to? I mean, as an atheist I feel life has no greater purpose. My generation has had no great depression, no great war and our biggest obstacle is beating Halo 3. So, if I feel like saying "game over", why can't I? Anyway, I hope you enjoy my thoughts as the clock runs out. Also, if blogspot takes this down before i'm gone just go to www.90dayjane.com. Please don't attempt to "help" me. If you want to truly help, please send me ideas on how to do the deed. thx-Jane

The countdown only began the other day, so it's gonna be a while still until the Big Day. Today's entry is called Day 84; so when I saw it earlier today, I got my hopes up, thinking this insane beyootch might be about to kill herself in the next week or so. But, alas, we've got a few weeks.

A few things that occurred to me:

• What's with the bit about atheism? Do other people who understand that there is no god find that life has no purpose? If anything, that ought to make your life better!
• The bit about our generation having no great depression is cribbed from motherfucking Fight Club, which lets me know the caliber of intellect we're dealing with here.
• I mean, has she not turned on the TV in the past several years now? As protest singer Ainsley McTree might put it, "Take a look at the world around us. It's not pretty!"
• Finally, how are we supposed to know that this isn't some 50 Cent-style viral marketing scheme to promote a new make from Toyota's "edgy" line of Scion automobiles?

I think I speak for the kind of sick motherfucker who reads this site when I say that, if this bitch doesn't go through with it, I'm gonna feel gypped, to the point where I hope someone else steps in and finishes off the job.

What do you fruits think? Is this site real? And if so, what do you think is the likelihood that she's actually gonna go through with it?
