It's hard to argue with science

Browsing the Internets this morning, I stumbled upon on of the best articles I've read since I discovered the work of Michael Noer. It's from an important scientific journal called Psychology Today (which is one of the names I once considered for this site, by the way), and it lists 10 politically incorrect truths about human nature. I suggest you read the whole thing, but here's the list.
- Men like blond bombshells (and women want to look like them)
- Humans are naturally polygamous
- Most women benefit from polygyny, while most men benefit from monogamy
- Most suicide bombers are Muslim
- Having sons reduces the likelihood of divorce
- Beautiful people have more daughters

- The midlife crisis is a myth—sort of
- It's natural for politicians to risk everything for an affair (but only if they're male)
- Men sexually harass women because they are not sexist
Looking over the list, I notice that some of these I'm not as familiar with, and it probably wouldn't have occurred to me to investigate them one way or the other. For example, I guess number six makes sense when you think about it: black people tend to not have much in the way of wealth, and I'm not sure what the female to male ratio is in the black community, but it must be pretty ridonkulous these days. But of course I just assumed that was because all of the black guys were in prison.
However, I've been on top of numbers one, two, and four for a minute now, as anyone who's been following my work here and at XXL I'm sure can attest. I would put forth that the fact that I managed to arrive at these truths independent of having read any deep scientific journals (not even High Times) is evidence of my innate level of genius, but that would just come off as conceited. So I won't. At any rate, I suppose it's nice to know that I haven't just been tricked by the media into thinking that terrorists tend to be Muslim, and that tall blond chicks with nice cans are the best thing that ever happened.
