Wendy's chili sauce is that crack

If there's one thing black people love, it's condiments.

I remember when I used to work in a White Castle, and I would have issues with people wanting so many packs of ketchup. I'd give them their order and toss a couple of packs in the bag, but then they'd take a look in the bag and be like, Nah, nigga, we need like two handfuls of ketchup.

Which, if you think about it, is way more ketchup than the amount of fries that come in an order at White Castle. Which begs the question: What the fuck are these people doing with all of this ketchup? Selling it on the black market? Eating it by itself, as if it was an actual vegetable, as Ronald Reagan once suggested?

The boss didn't like me giving out that much ketchup, but I would anyway. What the fuck did I care about the company losing a few thousand dollars here and there. That's what they get for catering to such a... shall we say, uncultured demographic.

I was reminded of all of this yesterday when I read that some poor kid who was managing a Wendy's was recently shot in a dispute over how much chili sauce he was allowed to hand out. He had put three packs in the guy's bag, but the guy wanted 10. So he explained to the guy that the company only allowed him to hand out three packs per customer, but the guy wasn't buying it.

When the manager went outside to the drive thru to try to talk some sense into the guy, rather than just giving him 10 packs and being done with it, the guy shot him several times and sped off. The manager was subsequently treated in a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries and released.

Wow.

So I guess my first question is, what the fuck is chili sauce? I'm familiar with Wendy's chili, which is actually supposed to be kinda good for you, but I can't say I've ever heard of chili sauce. I'll admit though, the idea of a sauce made out of Wendy's chili sounds pretty good, if not quite good enough to shoot someone over.

Also, this can't possibly bode well for black people, in a week which already began with two of Fat Joe's piff pocketers being shot to death while sitting in a Cadillac Escalade outside a coffee shop at 6 a.m., waiting to pick up some scones for the boss. I haven't actually read anywhere that the perps in this case are black, but come on...

As the manager himself put it, "I got shot over chili sauce. I was trying to figure while in the hospital why someone would shoot me over some chili sauce."

Indeed.
