Curtis

According to Last Week's Poll
Probably the two most anticipated rap releases in the next few months will be 50 Cent's Curtis and Cam'ron's Courtesy Curtis. As I recall, Fiddy decided to call his album Curtis because Cam'ron kept mocking his name. Then Cam decided to call his album Courtesy Curtis to mock the title of Fiddy's album. Last week's poll wondered which album is the most anticipated.

The results:

  1. 50 Cent - Curtis (206 votes)
  2. Cam'ron - Courtesy Curtis (165 votes)

I'd be lying if I said I cared too much about either of them. If either of these guys' last albums is any indication, neither one of them is going to be very good. In fact, this could be a case where the press run-up to these albums' release is way more interesting than the albums themselves.

I suppose it isn't that surprising to see 50 Cent win, given that's he's way more popular than Cam'ron, even on the Internets. But I'll admit, the production lineup on Curtis (check the wiki) looks pretty solid compared to either of his first two albums. On that basis alone, I'd probably have to roll with the Fiddy album.

Next week's poll, which is already up, is primarily for the guys. But if you're a girl, and you're into that sort of thing, feel free to vote early and vote often. Also feel free to show up to my house with another chick so we can get busy. My birthday this year has already passed, but I've got an unofficial birthday coming up this summer. If you know what I mean.

And after the jump is a video of 50 Cent riding a Segway around Floyd Mayweather's house, which is apparently one of the things he does between albums.
