Hillary Clinton can beat Barack Obama

According to Last Week's Poll
A few months ago I ran a poll on this site which sought to determine who would be president first between a black man, a Jew, an Asian man, and a woman. That time, a black man got trounced in the results by a white woman and a Jew, but I figured the poll was worth re-running since Barack Obama has semi-announced his intention to run in '08.
Here are the results:
Who will be president first?
- A woman (241 votes)
- A black man (203 votes)
- A Jew (173 votes)
- A hispanic (42 votes)
Most respondents still feel a white woman would be more likely to be elected president than a black man, which I took to mean that people think Hillary can beat Obama for the Democratic nomination in '08. If that race were to even take place, it would obviously be a monumental event.
That said, there was progress, in a sense. You'll recall that last time a Jew beat a black man 153 to 96 votes. Well this time the proverbial tables have been turned, with a black man beat a Jew by 30 points. Which is obviously good to hear. Having a Jew president of anywhere other than Israel just doesn't seem like a good idea, if you ask me.
Finally, I switched out an Asian for a hispanic, because I figured a hispanic would be much more likely to be president of the US than an Asian. At the very least, they've got demographics on their side. How did a hispanic fare in the poll compared to an Asian? Damn near the same, actually. Last time, an Asian received 38 votes while this time a hispanic received 42 votes.

Next week's poll, just in time for the beginning of the Christmas shopping season (Hannukah for the Jews), seeks to determine which is the best hip-hop clothing line. Vote as if the fate of democracy depended on it.
