Dane "Interscope" Cook

The Real Reason Lucky Louie Was Canceled
Last week I brought you the story of how HBO "opted not to renew" Louis CK's hilarious Lucky Louie so that they could create a new series around the occasionally amusing musical comedy act Flight of the Concords as well as focus on Dane Cook, who's considered a top priority for the cable network.
Come to find out, there may be more to this story than HBO purposely sabotaging the quality of its programming to appeal to a younger demographic. Did Dane Cook, who's built his career on ripping off Louis CK, have the comic blackballed from HBO the same way Kanye West once had Rhymefest reassigned to Mark Ronson's Trustfund Records?
Below is an audio comparison some concerned citizen put together of bits from Louis CK's Live in Houston CD from 2000 and Dane Cook's ur-popular Retaliation CD/DVD from last year.
