Secondly: what, Puffy is above buying chart status? It's not uncommon for a label to buy 100,00 units, give them away as promos and apply the cost to the promotinal recoup.

danity kane is some made up shit. i watched the show, and the name didn't come until like one of the last episodes. the one black chick with brown hair said it was a character she drew. supposed to be like the lil female empowerment shit in each woman. apparently. anyone who heard the name was like "ooooo kay!"... but then they heard them sing and were like "cha-ching!"

i wouldn't put their success on myspace though. i'd put it to the show. the show had like 2-3 seasons, just for mtb3! so they had a ready made fan base.

their single is trash though. "Show Stopper"... blah. the lil white chick aundrea is the best singer though.

I guess Outkast being beat by a bunch of chicks is news but to be honest I don't know how much it says about their demise. Danity Kane was number ONE on the billboard charts so that means they beat EVERYBODY.

Also, maybe I haven't been watching video shows in awhile but I haven't seen or heard a single or video. Aren't you supposed to release the video for the single to the movie the day of, or a week before, something like that. It's been hyped but I haven't even heard a sample. But, I'm starting to think maybe I'm just out of touch.
