P. Diddy plans a comeback

MTV News has the word on a couple of notable upcoming hip-hop albums.

First of all, P. Diddy, who may be calling himself Puffy again these days, had been considering going with the Zeppelin-esque PDV (PD Five) as the title of his new album, but now he's planning on calling it Press Play. Wasn't that an Aerosmith song or some shit?

As Diddy put it:

"I'm known for dramatic titles — 'Unforgivable' the cologne, [the albums] No Way Out, Forever, The Saga Continues," he said yesterday in his Daddy's House Studios. "I've evolved a little bit. Studied the game, been a part of it, had success. It all comes down to pressing play. After you press play, it's gonna make or break you in this game. That's where I'm at."

Granted, as revealed in my post at XXL the other day, P. Diddy currently has two singles in Billboard's top five, but I'm almost certain this album will suck balls. I don't care if Common is ghostwriting.

Meanwhile, Ludacris can at least rap, but with T.I. and Jeezy running the South these days, he sounds especially desperate. It would appear as if he's attempting to beef with T.I. to generate interest in his upcoming Release Therapy. The first official single will be a song about strip clubs, featuring Pharrell Williams.

Here's Luda on working with R. Kelly:

"Working with R. Kelly is great," said Luda, who's collaborated with Kelly in the past. "He's one of the hardest-working individuals, period. He's straight vampire: He leaves the studio when the sun comes up, goes in when it goes down."

So you see, he only fucks children during the day. At night, it's all about the music.

The new Ludacris and P. Diddy albums will be out on September 26th and October 3rd, respectively.
