Extreme Makeover: Internets Edition

A few people, though not as many as I expected, have made it a point to bitch about the fancy new logo. When I went to create it the other day, the main aim was to create something much bigger.
I wanted something that would grab people (nullus) the first time they saw it. To peep the site with the old logo, which I never liked in the first place, you'd hardly know which site you were reading.
The logo you see now was the first one I created when I sat down the other day. The idea was to create a few and pick the best one, but I knew right away I wouldn't be able to top this one.
Yeah, it's kinda retarded, but something about it to me screams "champion." And since I don't have any kind of talent for that sort of thing, anything else I'd come up with would likely suck just as bad.
Here's my offer: If any of you d-bags can come up with anything better, I'll use it. I'll post it up here first so the people can decide which one is best.

In semi-related news, I see Gawker has gone to that new widescreen design they've been running for a while now on site's like Fleshbot and Kotaku. I can see why it's supposed to be good, but personally I find it kinda retarded. It sucks, too, because Gawker is one of the main sites I hate reading in Bloglines.
Also vaguely related: XXL is still kinda fucked up from the hax0ring, but they're working on getting it back together. I've got a post there today about rap's nasty drug problem that I think people should enjoy.
