The H.L. Mencken of Queens (nullus)

In his editorial for the July '06 issue of XXL, Elliott "Coca-ina" Wilson shouts out your father a/k/a "Heartless Bastard" and has some tough words for rival hip-hop site SOHH.com.

The part about how he's going to bury SOHH:

In fact, as everyone knows, I’m expanding the brand and taking a stand against fraudulent rap Web sites that never lived up to their potential. The saddest thing in the world is wasted talent. We’ve done more in 11 weeks than you’ve done in 11 years? Allhiphop flip-flopped over you, and I’m gonna finish the job. Who stole the soul from sohh sohh? Your boy YN did. Convicted guilty, along with his co-D BFred.

As you can see in this handy graph (nullus), SOHH.com has been on a pretty steady decline for the past year. Obviously, you can't blame that all on XXL, but it probably has to do with some bad staff they picked up about a year ago. Here's a similar graph for XXL. As you can see, they've been on a pretty steady upswing since March. Hmm...

And the part where I'm mentioned:

Shit, I went from hating on the blog world to running it. How real is that? Swagger-jack these nuts! Props to Fresh and Eskay for joining the team. And to the boy Byron “Heartless Bastard” Crawford: Can you slow your crazy ass down before I catch a case? Jesus, I might have to Billy Martin your ass in a minute. XXL magazine and xxlmag.com. That’s pretty much all you need in your life.

Does anybody know what it means to give someone a Billy Martin? No homo, just in case.
