Teh gheyness: The secret to wealth?

I think we all know that gay guys are, on the average, wealthier than us straight guys. But has anybody ever stopped to wonder why? Is someone that’s rich more likely to be a homosexual, or is someone that’s a homosexual more likely to be rich? You always hear the latter, but I bet it's the former.

Obviously, gay couples with no children are going to have that much more disposable income, but I don't know if that alone helps explain this wealth disparity. Just because you don't have any kids doesn't make you rich. For example, I've yet to produce any spawn myself, but I couldn't afford to own a Mac or eat at the California Pizza Kitchen if I wanted to.

Could it be that rich people are more likely to be teh ghey than poor people?

Think about it: Whenever you hear about someone that's really, really homophobic, it's either rural white people, like the ones that got Matthew Shepard, or the kind of poor black people that still go to church. It's typically young crackety-cracks that you hear about tea-bagging one another or playing that game where you come on a cookie. And you never hear about black chicks "going through a lesbian phase in college."

While it's true that a lot of poor jigs in college prison have been known to give it to each other up the coat, obviously that doesn't count because guys that fuck other guys in prison (like DMX) aren't actually gay. Duh.
