Star = First Amendment martyr?

Does firing a guy just for claiming he would pee on another guy's daughter strike anyone else as a bit harsh? I mean, it's not like Star was actually going to show up to DJ Envy's daughter's preschool with a pocket full of candy, sipping a Big Gulp of Mountain Dew.
Here's the thing: I'm not from New York, and I've hardly had a chance to check out the Star and Buc Wild program. That's why I didn't bother to post about this shit yesterday. Furthermore, I didn't even post about the jigs here in the STL that got fired from the radio over some bullshit. The radio sucks anyway.
The impression that I get of New York radio, based on the brief amount of time I've spent there is that they play the same songs over and over. Granted, this is more or less true of radio stations everywhere, but it's doubly true of radio stations in New York. When I was there last summer, all you'd hear - on the hip-hop station, mind you - was "We Belong Together." It was ridiculous.
Anyhoo, as inappropriate as his comments were (peeing on kids is wrong), I don't know that they were so bad that he should've been fired. From what I understand, the main guy behind the firing was the same Asian congressman who was protesting Hot 97 over the Tsunami song. What would this guy care, anyway, about DJ Envy's kid getting peed on?
This sounds to me like a case of a Chinaman with a vendetta just looking for an opportunity to get a black dude fired from his job.
