The real tragedy in Durham, NC

A Critical Impasse in White Male/Black Female Relations
Up until fairly recently it looked like 2006 was finally going to be the year for white man on black woman sex. In February the groundbreaking interracial romantic comedy Something New was released to critical acclaim[1]. At the time, many were predicting that this might represent some sort of sea change in black female dating activity.

To be sure, this would've represented a coup not only for black women, but also for black men. If white guys started scoring with black chicks, it would've made it that much easier for black dudes to finally score with white chicks who are actually attractive. It wouldn't have necessarily become any more difficult to score with a black chick than it already is, since they all seem to be fucking the same three dudes.

[Quiet as it's kept, that's why so many of them have AIDS.]

Unfortunately, my fear is that this recent, alleged incident in Durham, North Carolina may have set white male/black female relations back a few hundred years. On the one hand, as I've mentioned before on this site, young white hipsters might get the idea to find their own personal Duke stripper. But I imagine many black women, as is their wont, might not be going for it.

Come to think of it, black male/white female relations didn't seem to suffer too much in the wake of the OJ trial, but then black men don't seem to have the need to turn any and every single thing into some sort of race incident. Not to mention the fact that the black man and the white woman were made for one another, anatomically.

I'm inviting any and all black women reading this to comment on this one. Do you feel any more or less likely to fuck a white dude in the wake of this Duke stripper incident? Or has this not had any impact at all on the way you view interracial dating? What if the guy was on the lacrosse team?
