Putting Bol back in Wikipedia

Bol

Not to highjack my own blog for... my own purposes, but today I was made aware of an issue having to do with myself and the notoriously shitty Wikipedia. First of all, the entry for my high school lists Kimora Lee Simmons as a notable alumnus even though I'm pretty sure she didn't go there.

Given that she only claims to be about 30 (I'm 25), it would've been fairly difficult for her to have attended the same high school I did and my not known about it. I know people who went to North in the early '90s are reading this. Can anyone actually confirm if she was ever a student there?

Interestingly enough, that led me to the Kimora Lee Simmons entry, in which it's revealed that she doesn't actually own Baby Phat. To wit:

Contrary to popular belief, the fashionista is not the founder of the Baby Phat brand, which first came into existence as a publicity tool for her husband's Phat Farm clothing line [...] they became such a phenomenon that the decision was made to launch an entire Baby Phat collection. He brought his wife on board as creative director.

As I mentioned in my infamous Russell Simmons pre-nup post from a few weeks ago, you had to know the dude was smarter than that. Granted, this paragraph could've been planted there by Rush's lawyer, but either way, don't expect her ass to walk away with much, if she ever does. From what I understand, she may have been talked out of a divorce.

Anyway, and more importantly, this incident calls to mind the fact that yours truly is not listed as a notable alumnus of Parkway North, even though I had been as recently as September of 2005. Also gone is the fellow who wrote Hello, My Name Is Scott, whom you may recall from my ethering of Bun B a couple of weeks ago [1].

I'm not sure what the situation here is, but my guess is that someone who's jealous of my success (possibly my 11th grade English teacher Mrs. Singer) went through and suggested that I wasn't important enough to be considered a notable alumnus, much in the way that someone had my own Wikipedia entry deleted back in 2004.

My concern is that now that I'm a for real, according-to-Hoyle journalist, co-signed by the likes of Elliott "Coca-ina" Wilson, both my own personal entry and my inclusion as a member of my high school's notable alumni may be due for some much-needed reconsideration.

[1] Interestingly enough, unless something is wrong with his site, this might be Scott's 2000th day wearing that dumbass name tag. Certainly this would be cause for celebration, no?
