What's good for GM

Closedgmplant

Is anyone else less than upset to hear about the latest round of Ford plant closings?

I mean, on the one hand, I'm sure this was awful news for quite a few people. Kids will be forced to give up their dreams of going to college, and many local wives will probably be beaten, repeatedly.

But on the other hand, I'll admit I was never too crazy about the idea of these people getting paid $30 an hour just to put together cars. Not when you can't get paid that much to do hardly anything else, including jobs that require actual skills.

If there's a definite downside to yours truly, it's that a lot of these assholes will be re-entering the same job market that I inhabit and may be shown preference, not unlike the child-killers who are returning from tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan.

I was thinking about giving up my current shitty job for something else, if not just the free time, but I might just end up holding on to that shit like forever.
