Damon Dash pursues DJ career

When he's not out raping models, pushing magazine editors over chairs and screaming profanities from the window of his car, it looks like your boy Dame Dash has been getting his ODB on, unexpectedly crashing the stage at a recent fashion show.

Damon Dash leapt on stage and grabbed the mike at Wednesday's Victoria's Secret after-party so the former Roc-A-Wear partner could advertise his own brands to a crowd that included Heidi Klum, Gisele Bundchen, Tyra Banks and Dennis Rodman.

And what was the crowd's reaction?

"Everybody was in shock," said one observer. "First of all, you just don't give yourself a shout-out. He went on for about 30 minutes, saying, 'D Dash is in the house, D Dash is on the mike,' and then naming all his brands. I've never seen anything like it. No wonder Jay-Z didn't want this guy as his partner."

And why was he there in the first place?

Dash's flack, Amanda Silverman, said, "They asked him to be the deejay. He was just having fun." A Victoria's Secret rep said, "He was never asked to be the deejay."

I guess the real question would be why was he at a fashion show in the first place? It's not like he's an actual designer.
