Who shot 50 Cent?

On the outside chance that anyone's interested, it was recently revealed the name of the fellow that shot Fiddy Cent nine (or was it three?) times back in 2000.

In the new book, Queens Reigns Supreme: Fat Cat, 50 Cent, and the Rise of the Hip-Hop Hustler, author Ethan Brown reveals that Baum, whose alias is short for Homicide, was indeed 50's shooter. Baum was later shot to death in June 2000 -- just three weeks after shooting 50.

None of these dumbass articles at SOHH, which all read like press releases, mention why exactly this guy shot Fiddy. I know it's also sort of glossed over in the Fiddy book, which I don't have handy, though it's suggested that it had more to do with street shit and less to do with rap.

Also, while 50 Cent likes to suggest that this guy's killing was somehow in retaliation for shooting him, it turns out it was in retaliation for killing a member of a crew in Brooklyn called the Cash Money Brothers, who may or may not be named after the gang in New Jack City. We all we got!
