The Real World: Austin - Episode 12: Episode Summary

Queers!

Based on the previews, this will be the episode when Club Nouveau gets involved in some sort of racial incident. Being 12 episodes into his shit, all I can say is about time.

Already, I can sense a little bit of tension with Ninjaturtle thinking he's the next great negro filmmaker, I guess because learned in community college how to insert titles into homemade video footage. You can see Lacy just sitting there like, "Will someone tell this jig to shut-up already."

Also, there's some sort of issue with her wanting to cover bands that are too interesting for the rest of the roomies, because they're such boring, stereotypical assholes! Case in point, Nehigrapesoda wants to know why there aren't more hip-hop acts. Can anyone say Do the Right Thing?

Later that evening, or two weeks prior (you never can tell with these assholes) we see Danny recording his profile of Neo Geo. Young Nepotism never knew his dad, and in a way he never knew his mom (the one who calls once a week to remind him not to drink too much) either because she had her issues with drugs. He's seen members of his family do drugs.

I knew the fun was about to start when Wes and Nintendo were walking down the street and Wes started to bust out his "black man walk." Next thing you know, Nehemiah is going all Denzel at the end of Training Day - first in the club, then right out in the middle of the street - shouting about who all he's about to fuck up.

Of course nothing really happens. Otherwise, we would've been seeing commercials for it all week. He busts out the overly dramatic apologizing routine, because that's what a real man does. Then he calls his mom, with the big time drug habit, to talk about what a little bitch Lacey (my favorite roommate) is.

NEXT WEEK: Won't be worth watching.
