Ban feminine hygiene commercials

As I'm sure you're all aware, I spend a good portion of my day (like most of it) watching MTV. Not that I've actually liked MTV in quite some time, but I never really liked anything other than MTV anyway. The next stage for me will probably be to stop watching TV (not HBO, mind you, just TV) altogether.

Part of the thing that really sucks about MTV is the ridonkulous advertisements they show in between their ridonkulous programming. It's bad enough when it's just the usual acne medication or some new program of theirs that they're attempting to shove down our throats (fuck a Hustle & Flow, nhjic), but I guess their audience also skews a lot more female than male, because I see more ads on there for feminine hygiene products than I see anywhere else on TV.

Now, I can see the psychological weakness in the average woman that would allow these companies to exploit them with all these various products. It's true that women, without the billions of dollars they spend each year keeping their vaginas in decent condition are disgusting. There's nothing quite as bad as a foul-smelling hoo-hah and I'd even venture to guess that the fear alone of that smell is a large part of what's been holding women back as a race since time immemorial. Because who would really want that in their work place?

Also, the fact that they leak blood in general is just enough to make a brother want to lose his lunch.

Yet and still, I don't think that these companies should allowed to run advertisements for these products. Because I find them disgusting. Granted, a woman's various hygienic issues are a fact of nature that we can't just make go away, but so is child molesting, and I'm not seeing very many commercials for that, now am I? If it's wrong to try to turn a buck from the one, then it's wrong to try to turn a buck from the other.
