New Nirvana

So I've been digging through this new Nirvana box set for the past couple weeks or so. It's cool because there really is a whole lot of shit on there that I would imagine hardly anybody has heard before. The thing about it though is that the vast majority of the new shit is poorly recorded solo acoustic demos made by Kurt in his bedroom or basement or whatever. If you added up all of the various included b-sides, shit from soundtracks and what have you and the best of the new shit, you could probably come up with a pretty decent Incesticide-style disc. I might give it a shot the next time I come across a blank CD. The track I'm including here is my favorite so far out of the new shit on here.

Everything on that box set has been released under the title "Outcesticide". There are about 10 different volumes, and they were all available before Cobain killed himself.

Have you heard the box set? I had a lot of those Outcesticide CDs and there was still a lot of stuff on here that I had never heard before.

yeah, I downloaded it a few weeks ago. There are only a few that didn't make it to the outcesticide albums. Personally, I want the actual box set just for the DVD.
The 2nd cd is the best, IMHO.

True. They actually played most of the DVD on MTV2 the week before it came out. The stuff that they had on there was just incredible. Like
-The first time they ever played Smells Like Teen Spirit live, with completely different lyrics. The crowd went straight ape shit.
-The first ever show with Dave Grohl on drums playing an awesome version of Love Buzz.
-The old Sub Pop version of the video for In Bloom, which was kind of weird in just how "regular" they seemed before the Nevermind days.
-Some really weird and, um, touching footage of them performing the '70s song Seasons in the Sun with Kurt on drums and vocals, Krist on guitar and Dave on bass.
Somebody should buy it for me for Christmas.

Enough people will buy this to support Countney Love's crack habit. This is a poor attempt to suck more money out of Nirvana fans. I'm glad I downloaded it first. I already have most of these songs and they sound like shit. There is no way I'm paying $65 for this.

Oh no doubt. Like I said, there's probably a single disc's worth of shit on here that you really need, if that, anyway.
I could use a bitch like Rachel Ray:

"68 previously unreleased tracks" is the real story. I'm thinking that if they had released them when Cobain was alive, maybe, (MAYBE) they would have got enough money to give him better shit and he wouldn't have off'd himself.
